it doesn't SUCK suck, but it's very boring. movement is fine but stiff since it's on a grid... but the enemies can curve? I'll let this one slide... maybe
the music really sucks, gotta be honest. does not match the rhythm based movement you're going for. the sound effects are too loud and are also too grating. reevaluate the auditory aspects and you've got something pretty cool.
everything else seems very well done.
fun, challenging, short, decent music. Gargul taunting you is great too. Only Thing I would have asked for is a good ending for beating hard mode but it's whatever.
Needs to have changeable controls, though, actual controller support is really cool. camera could be zoomed out just slightly like a couple pixels, the colors really clash and make it a bit hard to see. Wall jump feels a little stiff but it's functional. I like the idea though, cool high score game, needs a leaderboard for sure. Music is kinda banging tbh.
Small glitch landing on corners, you stay in freefall until you move off the edge.
acceleration is way too high. combined with high momentum this gets insanely annoying. you dont move with platforms, the wall jump has a 1/20 chance of working and there's no consistency.
Iron this stuff out and we'll see, good luck
I have now added checkpoints in 'normal difficulty'. I have not fixed many of the suggestions you've suggested here but if you would give it another shot to see if it's more playable now that would be great. This game is meant to be a frustrating one but I'm still trying to find the balance so thanks for the feedback.
Good foundation. some rooms are super annoyingly close to clear and the fixed jump height kinda sucks. You made a competent game unlike some first timers

Got 91, literally was 2 pixels away from 98. leaderboard says 84 for some reason but I have proof. believe it or not, this game is solvable lmoa

I think the issue is it doesn't actually count the first basket bc it spawns from a different spot but idk
the real question is, how are people getting scores that aren't multiples of 7?
depending on how fast u make the baskets as well gets u more score
each basket is +7 score - time of game/8
pretty simple escape room, although I can't figure out the final number pad lol. I know it has to do with the books but I can't make sense of it.
